Dallas is the southwest’s leading business and financial center and considered one of the top convention cities in the US. It is easy to see why when you look at what the city has to offer. Boasting historical charm, state of the art amenities and a distinctive glamour, as well as superb conference centers, Dallas caters to everyone and is a fantastic location for any conference.

Destination Dallas…
Dallas is the ninth largest city in the United States and can be found in the state of Texas. Covering an area of 343 square miles the city can be easily accessed a number of ways. Dallas is served by two commercial airports, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field. DFW is located to the north and is equidistant to Fort Worth and Dallas, it is the largest airport in the state and the second largest in the United States. Love Field is just 6 miles northwest of downtown Dallas. There are also extensive rail and road networks surrounding Dallas.

Dallas Convention Center
The Dallas Convention Center is over 1,000,000 square feet, offering 726,726 square feet in exhibit space and 203,000 square foot of column-free exhibit hall space – the largest in the US. It also houses a 9,816 seat arena, a theater with 1,740 person capacity, 105 meeting rooms and two gigantic ballrooms. The center offers all the amenities you would expect including state-of-the-art telecommunications, wireless internet, security and concierge services.

When in Dallas…
There are many ways to spend any spare time you get in Dallas, from visiting the burgeoning museums and art galleries to hitting the huge selection of shops. Dallas is an internationally recognized metropolitan hot spot in terms of its devotion to the arts. Nasher Sculpture Center and Fair Park, for those enjoy indulging in architecture, are both worth a visit. It terms of shopping Dallas offers a wide variety when it comes to shopping, you can easily find unique boutiques as well as premier shopping malls to please just about everyone.

Howdy cowboy
Everyone in Dallas is into sport in a big way and while you are here it presents the perfect opportunity to watch some professionals take to a court, pitch or track. As well as basketball, soccer, baseball and hockey, Dallas offers what Texans do best – rodeo. Why not put on your Western wear and mosey over to the Mesquite Rodeo where you can watch a showdown of world-famous bronc, bull riders and many more.

Dallas is a top spot to hold a convention – it offers all the amenities you could want plus a little bit extra. It is easily accessible with plenty to do and it is clear to see why so many conferences are held here each year, why not discover the Big D at your next convention…

Convention facilities – the best of the rest
Traveling a little further a field, there are some superb places to hold your conference. Travel north of Dallas to Lake Grapevine and hold your conference at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. Just six minutes from DFW airport the resort has meeting accommodation for up to 5,000 people with 400,000 square feet of meeting, convention and exhibit space. It also features luxury suites and a spa.

Located between Dallas and Fort Worth is Irving. The Irving Convention Center is a great place to hold a conference and the staff provide assistance with everything, from multimedia to florists to entertainers and many more, to help make sure you have a memorable and successful conference.
